Psychology things:

awareness + psychology: TW (stuff i found interesting)

- Anorexia Nervosa (eating disorder) changes ur brains wiring and can sometimes be considered a disease, it is the mental disorder with the highest mortality rate.

- BPD and CPTSD have a lot of overlapping symptoms and studies suggest they are linked, both involve Splitting which is a fragmented personality where the 1st part is functional and the 2nd part is emotional/ carries trauma (it may appear as loving someone and suddenly splitting to hating them and acting out of character)

- some studies show~40-60% BPD cases are caused by trauma otherwise it is hereditary (personally i believe although BPD may be genetic it still needs a trigger such as trauma to develop it)

- trauma can cause involuntary age regression.

- Trauma, stress and CPTSD can lead to the development of a chronic illness and autoimmune disorders.

POTS: (chronic illness: illness that lasts longer than 1 year.)

a autonomic nervous system disorder where the nervous system is dysregulated and causes a heartrate increase of 30-40+ BPM upon standing

autonomic nervous system: controls everything ur body does without u consciously doing it to keep you functioning and alive (heart rate, breathing, digestion etc)

P: postural : (refers to ur body position specifically upright)

O: orthostatic (refers to a change in position, changing from laying down, sitting, standing)

T: tachycardia: (a heart rate of above 100bpm)

S: syndrome: (cluster of symptoms that occur together)

(POTS unfortunately has a VERY LONG list of symptoms but symptoms are controllable with meds specifically betablockers and lifestyle changes specifically salt intake and hydration)

Notes:

-telling someone with a chronic illness you hope they get better soon is kind of a stupid thing to say...

-The biggest blessing u could offer to someone you love that has any disorder is researching about it and educating urself about it.
